REFLEKTOR: How does “Light & Dark” come to life in your installation?
“‘Gradual Exposure’ is in continual transformation, a slowly pulsating gradient from light to dark. The work simultaneously exposes existing qualities of its surroundings and generates new conditions. The experience of the work changes radically with one’s position and distance. This dynamic quality encourages curious, open-ended encounters between the work and its context, the perceiver and the perceived, and it encourages renegotiation among definitions of blindness, disorientation, and enlightenment”
Jakob Oredsson is an artist, architect & scenographer, working primarily with architectural installations, light- & sound installations & urban interventions. He has studied at multiple universities including The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts.
