REFLEKTOR: How does “Light & Dark” come to life in your installation?
“‘Light Noise’ is a visualisation of noise. Light and dark become the key elements through the use of white and black pixels humming on the surfaces and in the air of the installation. The early idea for the installation came from a fascination with the white noise sound phenomena. I started thinking about how I could imitate the pureness of the sound and transform it into something visual by the means of light and dark.”
Timo Aalto is a lighting designer & light artist working with light & everything that can manipulate it. He holds a Master of Art from Art University Helsinki.
